Dr. Greenberg was a Zuckerman Postdoctoral Fellow at Bar-Ilan University between 2019–2023, where he conducted research on the social neuroscience of music and its translational applications for autism and neurodivergent conditions. During his fellowship at BIU, his research was published in high-impact journals, including PNAS, Nature Communications, American Psychologist, and the Journal of Personality and Social Psychology

He also played a key role in securing funding and served as a co-PI and collaborator on grants from the Israel Science Foundation, Action Autism, the Rosetrees Foundation for Medical Research, and the Stoneygate Trust. These grants supported a hyperscanning EEG study in autistic adults and a randomized clinical trial of improvised music therapy for autism.

At BIU, Dr. Greenberg was affiliated with four departments and centers: the Department of Health and Social Sciences, the Department of Music, the Department of Psychology, and the Gonda Multidisciplinary Brain Research Center, working closely with Professors Ehud Bonder, Ilanit Gordon, and Avi Gilboa. Additionally, Dr. Greenberg built international collaborations between BIU and leading institutions such as the University of Pennsylvania, the University of Chicago, and the University of Cambridge.
